By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.Confucius

History will teach us over again and again
I think whenever a leader faces something challenging he should collect the most important lessons that he have learned in his life, and a experienced one will do that. I know this because recently I have read a lot of ancient Roman history (mostly on Wikipedia). And now as I see the situation, we face something very challenging. The recent situation on the Durrand line issue. I also think it is a chess play thing. You have to make the right move. You have to sacrifice something to gain something. As it is in Chess, which I am also good at playing at. Unfortunately the people I think are not remembering the worse time the war give us. And we still don’t learn from what decades and decades of history has thought us before about the war. Is it still not enough? I think some people are not quite getting it right? Stupid?
And I see a dark future ahead if we make a move like this which is to start a new war with our neighbour country. I see the start of it in our school. Teachers talk about it in an aggressive way!
My Allah Almighty shine wisdom on these people!

At least you are a ministry and you could do better than this
I am talking about MOHE (Ministry of Higher Education) of Afghanistan and about their website. It is a such a shame and annoying that a governmental website isn’t good enough to serve enough page views so it gives you an error like this:

My weblog can handle more traffic than this governmental website (Try it, even DDos my weblog). People say this happens every time this particular time of the year when the Kankoor results come out. And people rush out to their website to look their results but the website and wherever it is hosted is not good enough to serve the page views. To make this correct it will cost about 300-500 $ /month. But that is not a problem for a governmental website. Such a shame!

Couple of weeks ago I watched the “Happy Feet 2″ movie. I liked the music in the movie more than the movie itself. From all of those I loved this track. You can download it from here or you can listen to it right here:

R.I.P Swartz
From what I can say I am sad about the recent news that Aaron Swartz committed suïcide. He always demanded a free and open access to internet. He took a step against the SOPA/PIPA. He developed the front page of the internet : Reddit. When he was 14 he developed the original RSS. Which has now developed to Google Reader and many more….
On his way to make a more open world he founded DemandProgress.Org and Openlibrary and he helped in many more projects.
Last year he downloaded 4.8 million articles from JSTOR (Journal Storage) illegally. U.S court sentenced him to 35 years of prison and 1 million $ fine. All of this was because he wanted to make knowledge open to all.
Many people were devastated by his dead . Many people shared their sadness at these links :
- Tim Berners Lee
- BBC
- Techcrunch
- Mashable
So you made it to 2013
So congratulations looks like you made it to the new year. I know you are happy and so am I. I am happy because we passed the dangerous 21st of december. And I am happy that I am a grade higher in my school. And something else……(which I do not plan to share now).
If you are a regular reader of this blog you have noticed less activity in these few weeks. And that was because of reasons. One and a priority is that which I am getting ready for my next year to make it easy for myself. And few other things that will keep me occupied for the winter. So that makes it slow. But that is okay. Because it is not stopped it is slow.
Last year was different than any year I experienced ever in my life. It was truly high and low.
You will find me more active at my Instagram & my twitter: @esmatzeerak
And at last thank you for reading this blog. I hope you have a good year ahead
