The polar bear is one of those animals whose survival is directly being affected by global warming. The polar bear, a large white arctic bear, lives mainly on large pieces of floating ice known as pack ice. The bear depends completely on pack ice for hunting, moving from one place to another anf for survival.
Due to global warming, the arctic is heating up faster than the rest of the world, and the pack ice is rapidly melting. Besides making hunting extremlely difficult, the soaring temperatures have adversely affected and reduced the bear’s food supply. Struggling to hunt and surrvie, this majestic bear is the icon and representative of all the animals and irds that suffer because of global warming.
